Cash handling specialists Volumatic are proudly supporting one of their team members as she takes on a daring skydive to raise funds for Myton Hospice, a local charity based bear Volumatic’s Coventry headquarters that provides vital end-of-life care for people living with terminal illnesses.

Lucy Allden, a Business Development Representative in Volumatic’s Sales & Marketing team, will be making the 14,000ft tandem jump on Saturday 12th July, over the skies of Nottingham, all in memory of her beloved grandmother, Mary, who received care from Myton Hospice in the final weeks of her life.

At just 23 years old, Lucy has been with Volumatic for six years, having joined the business as an Apprentice. Now a valued member of the commercial team, Lucy set herself a personal challenge at the start of 2025 to try new things and despite a fear of heights, she chose to take the leap for a cause close to her heart.

“Volumatic agreeing to donate to my charity fundraiser is fantastic and I am so grateful to them,” said Lucy. “The support I’ve had from family, friends and colleagues has been incredible. Doing a skydive is a big deal for me, but if it helps Myton Hospice, who supported my Nanny and my family, then I have to be brave and embrace the challenge.”

Thanks to Volumatic’s generous donation, Lucy has surpassed her fundraising target of £1,500, with all proceeds going to The Myton Hospices, who care for over 1,800 people and their families across Coventry and Warwickshire every year. The charity focuses on enhancing quality of life when a cure is no longer an option, providing support from diagnosis through to end-of-life, both in their centres and out in the community.

James Harris, Managing Director at Volumatic, commented: “At Volumatic, we are proud to support our employees wherever possible. When Lucy told us she was doing a skydive for charity, we knew it was something we wanted to get behind. We are delighted to be able to support Lucy and a way to contribute to a charity that means a lot to many in our local area. We look forward to continuing our tradition of supporting meaningful causes every year.”
