Employees from cash handling experts Volumatic showed their support for Breast Cancer Now by taking part in a special ‘Wear It Pink’ day for the second year running.

Around 40 staff based at Volumatic’s Head Office in Coventry dressed in pink – from shirts to dresses to hair clips and cowboy hats – to raise money for the breast cancer charity very close to their hearts.

The fundraising day was once again organised by Mandy House, Volumatic Customer Service Representative, who was inspired by her own family’s experience with breast cancer and the impact it has had within her team at work. Taking place on Friday 24th October 2025, the event featured a pink-themed bake sale, sweepstakes and competitions, with the office decked out in pink decorations and donation boxes.

Mandy also gave a heartfelt speech reminding colleagues of the importance of regular self-checks and early detection – emphasising that prompt action can save lives.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, the Volumatic team raised a total of £260 – which was then matched by the Volumatic board, bringing the total donation to £520 for Breast Cancer Now.

Founded to support the 600,000 people living with breast cancer in the UK, Breast Cancer Now funds world-class research, provides support and advice, and helps drive earlier diagnoses and better treatments.

Mandy, who has worked for Volumatic for over 25 years, said: “Thank you to everyone at Volumatic for taking part once again in our ‘Wear It Pink’ day. It was so amazing to see so many of us in pink – even the guys! The spirit of Volumatic and the coming together, especially to eat cake, was fantastic!”
James Harris, MD at Volumatic, said: “Last year’s ‘Wear it Pink’ day was great fun and all our employees wanted to get behind this day again this year for this extremely worthy cause. Cancer is a terrible disease in all its forms and has unfortunately touched many people within our team here at Volumatic or their families and friends. I would like to thank Mandy personally for leading this fundraiser to help treatment continue to get better for all concerned.”
